EYES OF THE WORLD RADIO WITH PAT BAKER

Image of Host Pat baker

Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9 (PT).

Eyes of the World Radio presents live performances and studio recordings of Grateful Dead music, primarily focusing on complete concert performances that span show dates from the entire 30–year career of the band.

You will also hear from the current incarnation of the band, The Dead, as well as direct offshoot bands like the Jerry Garcia Band and solo projects from former members of the Grateful Dead. Bob Dylan’s music was a tremendous influence on Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead and each week on Eyes of the World Radio you will hear at least one song from Bob Dylan.

In addition to the music of the Grateful Dead and Bob Dylan, Eyes of the World Radio explores new releases and the musical realms of other artists who have either been influenced by or have been an influence on the Grateful Dead. With an enormous repertoire of songs and a myriad of musical styles associated with the Grateful Dead, it leaves the musical path wide open and you will enjoy a wide variety of music including Folk, Rock, Soul, Bluegrass, Country, Cajun, Gospel, Jazz and Blues.

Bob Dylan Tribute Banner and Link

Before emerging as arguably the most important songwriter in rock history, the man born as Robert Zimmerman grew up in a small Minnesota town. Hearkening back to his earliest days, this exhibition–organized by Experience Music Project–chronicles Dylan’s transformation from Midwestern teen to folk troubadour, artistic innovator, and compelling voice of social conscience.

Featuring more than 160 artifacts, including Dylan’s handwritten drafts of classic songs, rare concert posters and a recording of his first concert, the exhibition focuses on the first decade of his celebrated career. Click here for more information
