Meishel Menachekanian has been a fan of Jean Michel Jarre's music since the age of eight. His music and artistry were definitely the catalyst for starting this radio show.
Galactic Voyager is more about an approach to presenting a music show than a specific genre. You will hear electronic and acoustic music with and without vocals; the most commonly featured styles of music are electronic, new age, world, and ambient. Artists who normally don’t get a forum to shine will be given voice, and music that categorically doesn’t belong together will be heard on one radio program, Galactic Voyager.
Key artists include Vangelis, Mars Lasar, Loreena Mckennitt, Gooding, Patrick O’hearn, Dead Can Dance, Mike Oldfield, Oystein Sevag, and mostly unknown artists who submit their music to Meishel on a regular basis…Basically, if you like great music but dislike the rigid boundaries that normally limit the kinds of music played on other radio stations, check out Galactic Voyager.
